Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure operational compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory obligations across the manufacture and workshops.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and safety audits; identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage chemical safety, waste handling and environmental controls in accordance with applicable legislation and company procedures.
- Develop, deliver and document EHS training for production, technical and support teams; promote safe working practices and a safety-first culture.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, recommend preventive measures and track remediation actions.
- Maintain mandatory documentation, permits and records (inspection reports, MSDS, training logs) and support internal and external audits.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, safety drills and liaison with external authorities and service providers.
- Support continuous improvement projects to reduce risk, improve ergonomics and minimise environmental footprint.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in occupational health & safety, environmental sciences, engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Practical experience in EHS within manufacturing or industrial environments; preferably in precision manufacturing or watchmaking.
- Strong knowledge of local Swiss health, safety and environmental regulations and proven ability to apply them practically on the shop floor.
- Ability to write clear technical reports and maintain compliance documentation; competent use of MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience delivering training to multi-disciplinary teams.
Skills
Experience
Several years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment, ideally including previous roles managing occupational safety, environmental controls and regulatory inspections.
Education
Technical diploma or bachelor-level qualification in occupational health & safety, environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
