About Boucheron
Boucheron is a historic Parisian maison of haute joaillerie renowned for its bold, inventive style and mastery of gem‑setting and watchmaking. The brand is celebrated for its Place Vendôme heritage and a couture approach to jewellery creation, operating through an international network of flagship boutiques and a client‑centric retail organisation.
Boucheron seeks a Senior High‑Jewelry Sales Executive in Tokyo (Ginza) to drive HJ/FJ sales and cultivate VICs for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the maison’s ambassador in Tokyo, aligning personal sales activity with the brand’s mission and commercial targets to contribute materially to store and maison revenue.
- Drive sales of high‑jewellery (HJ) and fine jewellery (FJ), taking ownership of the HJ/FJ assortment to lead the boutique’s premium revenue performance.
- Meet exacting KPIs: annual personal sales of JPY 350,000,000 or more; at least five HJ/FJ units sold per year; sale mix to include items priced ≥ JPY 50,000,000; HJ/FJ revenue contribution of at least JPY 100,000,000 annually.
- Design and deliver exceptional, cutting‑edge brand experiences that deepen relationships with VICs (diamond/high‑net‑worth clients) and secure repeat patronage.
- Prospect and cultivate new VICs, proposing promotional and clienteling initiatives to accelerate HJ/FJ conversions.
- Lead clienteling strategy: implement VIC treatment programmes, collaborate with retail and marketing to propose and execute initiatives, and secure at least one new diamond‑level client per year while strengthening relationships with five existing diamond clients.
- Co‑develop and execute in‑store HJ/FJ merchandising and sales strategies with the management team; lead special order processes and long‑term client development.
- Manage VIP treatment programmes in partnership with store leadership to ensure bespoke service standards for the most valuable clients.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial excellence in luxury jewellery sales with demonstrable high‑ticket closures and sustainable revenue contribution.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills combined with executive presence when interacting with ultra‑high‑net‑worth clientele.
- Established leadership abilities and capacity to influence store strategy as a senior individual contributor.
- Analytical acumen and strong interpersonal communication, including the ability to give and receive structured feedback.
- A cultivated understanding of French history and culture, used to inform storytelling and brand positioning during client interactions.
- GIA G.G. or recognised jewellery‑related qualifications (e.g., Jewellery Coordinator) are a strong advantage.
