Boucheron Merchandising Intern (Greater China) — Shanghai. Support merchandising planning, forecasting and open-to-buy to optimise assortment and inventory.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the merchandising planning team in forecasting sales and inventory by collection, channel and country for Greater China.
- Analyse business KPIs and sales performance to produce regular reports and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the open-to-buy process to optimise assortment, minimise stock-outs and reduce markdown exposure.
- Prepare merchandise plans, replenishment recommendations and inventory projections at SKU and category levels.
- Collaborate with commercial, retail and supply chain teams to translate assortment decisions into operational actions.
- Contribute to product visibility and allocation planning, ensuring alignment between store demand and inventory availability.
- Prepare presentations and materials for merchandising reviews and cross-functional meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Economics, Finance, Fashion Merchandising or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude with an ability to interpret sales and inventory metrics.
- High attention to detail and an organised approach to managing datasets and documentation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and to communicate findings clearly.
- Curiosity about luxury retail and product assortment dynamics; interest in jewellery or fashion is advantageous.

Experience
Entry-level internship role. Prior internship experience or exposure to retail/merchandising, inventory analysis or commercial planning is advantageous but not required.
Education
Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Business, Finance, Economics, Fashion Merchandising or a related field (current enrolment or recent graduate).
