Boucheron Jewelry Client Advisor in Kyoto – luxury retail sales role in fine jewelry and watches at Takashimaya boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the company's mission and core values to all clients
- Achieve individual and store-level sales targets of ¥100 million or more annually
- Execute consultative selling across all customer interaction phases: welcome, discovery, understanding needs, agreement, closure, and development
- Master comprehensive product knowledge and present the fine jewelry and watch collection using established brand standards
- Cultivate lasting client relationships through strategic clienteling and CRM tools (DCC, MyCat, etc.)
- Manage customer service inquiries and seamlessly address client concerns or complaints
- Maintain daily boutique operations including inventory verification, visual merchandising, stock organization, and maintenance tasks
- Participate actively in periodic inventory audits, compliance checks, and pricing updates
- Stay informed of industry trends and competitive intelligence; share insights with the team
- Propose proactive improvements to operational processes and customer experience initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to all maison and group policies, regulations, and operational guidelines
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in luxury retail sales with consistent monthly sales target achievement
- Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms and customer management systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of fine jewelry, luxury watches, and related product categories
- Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills
- Ability to identify client needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly
- Professional demeanor and embodiment of luxury brand values
- GIA G.G. (Gemologist Graduate) certification or equivalent jewelry credentials (preferred)
- Jewelry Coordinator certification or equivalent luxury jewelry training (preferred)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in luxury retail sales, preferably in fine jewelry, haute horlogerie, or high-end fashion; demonstrated success in consistently exceeding sales targets and managing high-value client portfolios in an upscale retail environment.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualifications in business, luxury brand management, or related fields are advantageous. Specialized jewelry certification (GIA G.G., jewelry coordinator) strongly preferred.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.
