Boucheron in New York seeks a Business Development & Wholesale Manager to drive US wholesale growth through partnerships and client activations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, negotiate and execute trunk shows, in-store activations, private client events and strategic partnerships with department stores and retail partners to deliver measurable sales and client acquisition.
  • Identify, cultivate and convert new introducers and connectors — stylists, personal shoppers, HNWI-focused tastemakers and other business introducers — to broaden client acquisition channels and enrich the Maison’s CRM.
  • Develop new market opportunities and city- or region-specific initiatives in collaboration with local teams and HQ to generate incremental sales beyond the existing distribution network.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contracting with partners to secure favourable trade terms while safeguarding the Maison’s brand positioning, discount practices and receivables policies.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail, PR, Marketing and Events to ensure product availability, cohesive event production and exceptional client experiences.
  • Track and report core KPIs, particularly sales and final-client conversion, evaluating the impact of activations and partnerships and delivering actionable insights to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 5–8 years combined experience in luxury/fashion retail and wholesale, with demonstrated commercial results; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to autonomously develop and manage a business and client portfolio with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Track record of building high-value relationships with HNWI, stylists and tastemakers.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and capacity to manage contractual discussions while protecting brand equity.
  • Willingness to work variable hours including occasional weekends and holidays and to travel for market activations.

Experience

5 to 8 years of combined experience in luxury retail and wholesale channels with proven commercial outcomes; supervisory or people‑management experience is preferred.
