Boucheron — Paris: Internship, Assistant Innovation Jewellery (materials & processes intern) in the Industrial / Innovation department.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic technological watch on emerging materials and manufacturing processes relevant to jewellery and haute joaillerie.
- Research, identify and analyse bibliographic and technical data on candidate processes and materials.
- Contribute to scoping and framing of innovation project workstreams alongside the project manager.
- Support project teams during critical phases: launch of material trials, laboratory testing and preparation of technical presentations.
- Analyse experimental results and assist the project manager in proposing optimisation avenues.
- Draft meeting minutes, supplier visit reports and summaries following materials fairs and exhibitions.
- Report directly to the project manager within the Industrial / Innovation department.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an engineering programme in physics, mechanical engineering or materials science.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Rhino.
- Professional command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong curiosity for new materials and manufacturing processes.
- Autonomy, rigour, responsiveness and an aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
Skills
Experience
Student-level experience in laboratory testing, materials characterisation or hands-on manufacturing projects is desirable; prior internships or academic projects in materials or mechanical contexts are an asset.
Education
Currently enrolled in an engineering degree (physics, mechanical or materials engineering).
