Boucheron — Paris: Internship, Assistant Innovation Jewellery (materials & processes intern) in the Industrial / Innovation department.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic technological watch on emerging materials and manufacturing processes relevant to jewellery and haute joaillerie.
  • Research, identify and analyse bibliographic and technical data on candidate processes and materials.
  • Contribute to scoping and framing of innovation project workstreams alongside the project manager.
  • Support project teams during critical phases: launch of material trials, laboratory testing and preparation of technical presentations.
  • Analyse experimental results and assist the project manager in proposing optimisation avenues.
  • Draft meeting minutes, supplier visit reports and summaries following materials fairs and exhibitions.
  • Report directly to the project manager within the Industrial / Innovation department.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering programme in physics, mechanical engineering or materials science.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Rhino.
  • Professional command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong curiosity for new materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Autonomy, rigour, responsiveness and an aptitude for collaborative teamwork.

Experience

Student-level experience in laboratory testing, materials characterisation or hands-on manufacturing projects is desirable; prior internships or academic projects in materials or mechanical contexts are an asset.

Education

Currently enrolled in an engineering degree (physics, mechanical or materials engineering).
