Boucheron in Seoul seeks an After-Sales Assistant to manage repairs, quality control and client liaison for high‑jewelry products.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform quality inspections and tests on incoming materials, in‑process components and finished jewellery to ensure compliance with maison standards.
- Execute repairs and maintenance on returned or defective items, including micro‑soldering, stone resetting, polishing and finishing to restore product integrity.
- Liaise with client services teams to assess return cases, scope necessary repairs and communicate timelines and outcomes to clients.
- Participate in supplier approval visits and on‑site inspections; report non‑conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate repair records, traceability documentation and quality reports; ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
- Manage the workflow of after‑sales requests, prioritising cases by urgency and coordinating with ateliers, suppliers and logistics to meet service SLAs.
Qualifications
- Proven manual dexterity and fine motor skills suitable for jewellery repair and hand finishing.
- Knowledge of precious metals, gemstones and basic gemological principles.
- Familiarity with jewellery repair techniques (micro‑soldering, stone setting, polishing) and small‑parts handling.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply strict quality standards and follow technical specifications.
- Effective communication skills for client liaison and cross‑functional coordination with ateliers and suppliers.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in jewellery repair, benchwork, quality control or after‑sales within a luxury jewellery or watchmaking environment; experience liaising with client services and suppliers preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in jewellery making, goldsmithing, gemology or a related technical craft; equivalent on‑the‑job training also acceptable.
