Bottega Veneta in Milan seeks a Women's Ready-to-Wear Designer specialising in leather and denim.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Tailoring, Outerwear & Denim to conceive and develop strong concepts and seasonal women’s collections with emphasis on leather and denim.
- Conduct iconographic research and develop 3D volumes, silhouettes and detailed design solutions both flat and on stockman.
- Lead fittings and look development to ensure alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and construction standards.
- Prepare technical drawings, moodboards and presentation materials for internal reviews and show preparation.
- Participate in the coordination and logistical preparation of fashion shows and key presentations.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Atelier and Fabric teams to carry designs from concept through to production.
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of professional experience in women’s ready-to-wear design with demonstrable expertise in leather and denim.
- Immediate availability to start.
- Strong visual sensibility with an advanced ability to research, interpret and translate concepts into compelling designs.
- Proven experience working directly with suppliers and factories.
- Record of developing a commercial point of view for collections.
- Thorough understanding of garment construction, materials and finishing techniques specific to leather and denim.
- Excellent organisational skills and capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with development and atelier teams.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.

Experience
3–4 years in women’s ready-to-wear design, with hands-on experience in leather and denim development and direct collaboration with suppliers and factories; demonstrated ability to shape a commercial collection point of view.
Education
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or equivalent; vocational training in tailoring, pattern making or textile/materials science preferred.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
