Bottega Veneta seeks a Visual Merchandising Intern in Shanghai to support window displays, store styling and VM projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support regular store window installations, in-store displays and styling to uphold the brand’s visual identity.
  • Apply and uphold head office VM guidelines across assigned stores, ensuring consistency with global VM standards.
  • Conduct routine store visits to audit visual compliance and advise store teams on corrective actions.
  • Participate in store openings, renovations, pop-up activations and event setups, assisting with logistics and on-site execution.
  • Develop and deliver basic VM guidance and on-floor training to store staff to ensure layouts reflect the Bottega Veneta concept.
  • Source, coordinate and liaise with suppliers and contractors for production of VM props, verifying quality and delivery against schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising and retail operations teams on VM-related matters in line with commercial priorities.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in fashion, visual merchandising, retail management, interior design or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in luxury retail and strong sensitivity for composition, scale and product presentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple small projects concurrently.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly to store teams and external suppliers.
  • Physically able to perform store-based duties, including lifting and installation work, and available for local store travel.

Experience
