Bottega Veneta seeks an experienced Shoes Pattern Maker – CAD in Vigonza, Italy. 5–7 years luxury footwear experience, TESEO CAD proficiency, and masterful pattern development skills required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop style lines and patterns on shoe lasts according to technical specifications from the product development manager
  • Execute manual and CAD-based pattern base development and model groundwork for women's and men's prototyping and sampling
  • Perform pattern defect correction and oversee accurate CAD development of patterns and subsequent prototype/sample development
  • Supervise all phases of cutting, skiving, edging, and assembly for prototype/sample/compliance pair production, documenting technical aspects, times, and material consumption
  • Collaborate continuously with the industrialisation department to anticipate and resolve industrialisation and production challenges, identifying optimal manufacturing methods from technical and economic perspectives
  • Manage model development for production pairs in collaboration with the industrialisation team

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of professional experience as a Pattern Maker in established luxury footwear production companies
  • Diploma in Pattern Making or related discipline
  • Knowledge of various shoe last types and autonomous ability to draw patterns on lasts without CAD
  • Mastery of footwear production processes (pattern making, cutting, skiving, edging, assembly, finishing)
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD systems, preferably TESEO, including experience with pattern grading and size development
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • English language skills (preferred)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with style offices and external suppliers
  • Precision and excellent communication abilities
  • Dynamic and flexible approach to prototype and sampling phases
  • Willingness to undertake travel within Italy and internationally

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
