Bottega Veneta in Milan is hiring a Senior Women's Ready-to-Wear Designer to develop leather & denim collections and lead fittings and show preparation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop strong conceptual directions and seasonal collections for women's ready-to-wear with a primary focus on leather and denim, in close collaboration with the Head of Tailoring, Outerwear & Denim.
- Conduct iconographic and materials research and translate references into 2D and 3D explorations — volumes, details, and silhouettes — both flat and on stockman.
- Lead fittings and look development to ensure designs align with the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
- Prepare technical drawings, detailed moodboards and presentation materials for internal reviews and external shows.
- Coordinate and support preparation for fashion shows and key presentations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Atelier and Fabric teams and liaise directly with suppliers and factories to ensure design integrity through production.
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of professional experience in womenswear design with proven expertise in leather and denim.
- Demonstrable experience working directly with suppliers and factories and managing development workflows.
- Advanced visual sensibility with the ability to research, interpret and translate concepts into commercially viable designs.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, materials and finishing techniques specific to leather and denim.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator experienced in cross-functional collaboration from concept through final product.
- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.

Experience
4–5 years of hands-on womenswear design experience, with specific, demonstrable expertise in leather and denim product development and direct collaboration with suppliers and factories.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in luxury apparel design.
