Bottega Veneta Senior Planning Manager in New York: lead merchandising and inventory strategy across retail channels. $125K–$135K + bonus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the SVP of Merchandising & Wholesale to shape Americas merchandising and wholesale strategies through analysis of product performance, sales trends, margin, sell-through, and inventory levels to maximize profitability
- Ensure regional demand is supported by appropriate inventory levels and deliver actionable insights that enable effective business decisions
- Identify and communicate potential business risks and opportunities based on historical data, market dynamics, product performance, and brand strategy
- Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tools that deliver relevant analytics and actionable insights to stakeholders and store teams
- Lead replenishment reporting and monthly forecasting to maintain appropriate inventory levels across all accounts
- Define, validate, and monitor Open-to-Buy budgets throughout the season in accordance with company guidelines
- Optimize Never-Out-Of-Stock inventory depth across all channels
- Partner with Regional Merchandising Managers and Account Executives to execute regional plans and optimize inventory across Direct Operating Stores, outlets, and wholesale accounts
- Collaborate with Finance and Inventory Control teams to align sales forecasts, inventory investments, and Open-to-Buy budgets with financial targets
- Consolidate business information from local and global departments to guide strategic decisions throughout the product lifecycle from collection planning to markdown management
- Manage and develop one Merchandise Planner, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to ensure strong performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in merchandising, buying, financial inventory control, or demand planning in luxury retail
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficiency with analytical tools and systems
- Strong analytical skills with excellent Excel capabilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication, leadership, and management skills with ability to collaborate across multiple departments and regions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, collaborative mindset with a problem-solving attitude and openness to change
- Experience in retail store operations (preferred)
