Bottega Veneta RTW Purchasing Assistant in Trissino, Italy – ready-to-wear procurement role reporting to Purchasing Coordinator.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct material requirement analysis using MRP systems and forecast file analysis to identify sourcing needs
  • Process purchase orders for accessories, leather goods, and semi-finished materials for sample collections, press samples, and production runs
  • Maintain daily supplier communication to coordinate order placement and delivery scheduling
  • Monitor supplier deliveries and escalate delays, updating management systems with real-time progress tracking
  • Request and input purchase price lists from vendors into procurement systems
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication with materials research, product development, technical, and quality control departments to align sourcing with product specifications
  • Collaborate with planning and production teams to ensure timely material delivery and finished product deadlines
  • Organize quality assurance protocols, prioritize testing activities, identify critical issues, and facilitate supplier facility visits
  • Work with shipping and warehouse teams to ensure correct material allocation and proper documentation of transport records in system
  • Prepare and manage quantitative analyses and reports for purchasing performance and material trends

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in economics or business-related disciplines
  • Minimum one year of purchasing experience, preferably in the apparel or fashion sector
  • Proficiency with Stealth 400/3000, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), or BI (Business Intelligence) systems
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Strong organizational planning abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Willingness to travel to supplier facilities throughout Italy and to Milan (Bottega Veneta corporate headquarters)
