About Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta is a house defined by discretion, exceptional craftsmanship, and a modern vision of Italian luxury. Founded in Vicenza in 1966 and renowned for its signature intrecciato leatherwork, the brand offers employees the opportunity to contribute to a culture where creativity, precision, and innovation are deeply valued. As an employer, Bottega Veneta fosters an environment that respects artisanal heritage while encouraging contemporary expression across design, retail, operations, and corporate functions. Its teams are united by a commitment to quality, authenticity, and understated elegance, shaping products and experiences that reflect the house’s enduring philosophy: individuality over spectacle.

Bottega Veneta is seeking a Retail Supervisor for its Topanga store in Canoga Park, California. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Supervisor leads by example in client service and sales, supports staff coaching and store operations, and serves as Manager on Duty. The salary range is $26.00–$28.00 per hour, with overtime and commission eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model and build strong client relationships through enthusiasm for Bottega Veneta, consistently delivering world-class service and meeting or exceeding sales and KPI goals.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales and KPI goals through client outreach; develop new clients through appointments and consignments; and inform clients about new collection deliveries, in-store events and brand initiatives.
  • Use the Bottega Veneta Client Journey and selling techniques, including cross-selling, multiple selling and upselling, to maximize transactions, improve KPIs and close sales.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, routinely updating client profile records.
  • Coach staff on applying the Client Journey, sharing successful practices and ways to overcome challenges on the sales floor; provide feedback to management.
  • Perform daily Manager on Duty shifts outside the sales-floor “up” rotation, ensuring a consistent client experience and supporting staff with tasks as applicable.
  • Use training resources to educate the team on collection product knowledge, strengthen selling skills and achieve business goals.
  • Contribute ideas for day-to-day activities during management meetings.
  • Set priorities independently, manage time efficiently in the store and complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform operational duties, including opening and closing the store, register and back-office procedures such as merchandise transfers and consolidations; maintain visual standards for merchandise presentation, signage and lighting, and complete general maintenance as requested by management.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Foster an environment where associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect.
  • Support the management team as Manager on Duty, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage across store areas and serving as the first point of contact for associate and client needs on the sales floor, alongside other operational duties.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of retail sales experience or management experience in a customer-service-related field, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others through actions and example.
  • Ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals and KPIs.
  • Ability to build and maintain a loyal client following.
  • Strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy and a team-oriented approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished, well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Availability for closing shifts at least 3 times per week, at least 3 Saturdays per month and 2 Sundays per month, annual inventory and the entire holiday season.
