Operations Manager at Bottega Veneta in New York – SoHo flagship store. $85K–$95K plus bonus.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Store Director to ensure adherence to company standard operating procedures and optimize store efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies and procedures in partnership with Retail Operations, Loss Prevention, Sales Audit, Inventory Control, Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, and Architecture/Facilities teams
  • Facilitate store maintenance and repairs with external vendors and contractors, escalating to Architecture Preservation Manager or Project Manager as needed
  • Execute routine inventory cycle counts, identify discrepancies, and follow standard procedures to address inventory management issues
  • Verify accuracy of merchandise and supply deliveries, ensuring quantities match documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Manage operations and stock team activities to ensure efficient processes and foster cross-functional communication
  • Lead succession planning and ongoing development of direct team members through coaching and monthly performance reviews
  • Support retail rollout of new applications and system updates, providing training to stock and sales teams to ensure compliance
  • Conduct regular audits of store equipment (CCTV, alarm, EAS) and proactively address loss prevention issues
  • Oversee annual physical inventory process, ensuring shrinkage remains within brand standards while minimizing operational disruption
  • Cultivate relationships with store operations leads and corporate partners to drive operational efficiency and cost savings
  • Maintain appropriate store supply and in-store packaging levels, overseeing merchandise repair processes
  • Support PCI compliance by monitoring POS and payment-related behaviors, escalating concerns to Store Director as needed
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure brand guidelines compliance in front-of-house and back-of-house areas, addressing prior audit findings

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of retail operations experience
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Flexible and diplomatic communicator across organizational levels
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Polished, well-groomed professional appearance
  • Ability to remain mobile on sales floor for extended periods
  • Availability to work closing shifts minimum 3 times per week, minimum 3 Saturdays per month, 2 Sundays per month, annual inventory, and entire holiday season
