Bottega Veneta Operations Manager position in New York City SoHo. Lead store operations, inventory, and loss prevention. $90K–$95K annual salary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Store Director to ensure adherence to company standard operating procedures and optimize store efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Maintain compliance with all operational policies and procedures across Retail Operations, Loss Prevention, Sales Audit, Inventory Control, Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, and Architecture/Facilities functions
  • Facilitate store maintenance and repairs with external vendors and contractors, escalating to Architecture Preservation and Project Management teams as needed
  • Execute routine inventory cycle counts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues following established protocols
  • Verify accuracy and quantities of all incoming and outgoing merchandise and supply shipments, reporting discrepancies to relevant departments
  • Oversee all operations and stock positions in-store to ensure efficient processes and cross-functional communication
  • Provide succession planning and ongoing development of direct team members through coaching and regular touchpoints
  • Support rollout of retail technology applications and system updates, conducting staff training to ensure compliance and understanding
  • Conduct regular loss prevention audits of store equipment (CCTV, alarm systems, EAS) and implement proactive measures to reduce shrinkage
  • Oversee annual physical inventory process, ensuring loss remains below group and brand standards while minimizing operational disruption
  • Cultivate relationships with store operations leads and corporate partners to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage store supply levels, packaging inventory, and merchandise repair processes
  • Ensure PCI compliance, monitor POS and payment-related behaviors, and escalate issues to Store Director as needed
  • Perform daily walkthroughs to verify brand guidelines compliance in front-of-house and back-of-house areas and address findings from prior audits

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of retail operations experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong problem-anticipation and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums and organizational levels; diplomatic and flexible in approach
  • Strong attention to detail with solid organizational skills and proven ability to multitask with consistent follow-through
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to lead beyond area of expertise and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Polished, well-groomed professional appearance
  • Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
  • Availability for closing shifts minimum 3 times per week, minimum 3 Saturdays per month, 2 Sundays per month, annual inventory, and entire holiday season

Experience
