Role & Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of merchandise and supply deliveries, ensuring all quantities shipped and received match corresponding documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Provide rapid stock checks and merchandise delivery to the sales floor upon request from management and sales staff
- Maintain stockroom organization by systematically arranging merchandise by style, color, and size as directed by store management and the operations department
- Execute routine cycle counts and communicate any inventory discrepancies to management for resolution
- Maintain an organized shipping area, ensuring all outgoing merchandise is properly packaged, logged, and processed according to all policies and procedures
- Optimize available stock space to facilitate easy merchandise access for all employees and maximize store efficiency
- Ensure timely communication with management and sales teams regarding new arrivals, product replenishment, and client returns
- Replenish packaging supplies throughout the boutique to appropriate levels
- Assist in training new hires on all shipping and receiving policies and procedures
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by store management
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a complex retail stockroom environment
- Previous experience with international and domestic freight companies (FedEx, UPS, or similar) is advantageous
- Strong ability to execute multiple tasks and manage competing priorities with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain systematic stockroom standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accountability, reliability, and willingness to accept constructive feedback
- Physical capability to be mobile, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift packages weighing up to 20 lbs regularly
Skills
Experience
1–2 years of experience preferred in highly-complex retail stock room operations. Previous experience working with international and domestic freight companies such as FedEx or UPS is advantageous but not required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Excel preferred.
