Bottega Veneta seeks Marketing and Communication Director in Shanghai to lead brand strategy across Greater China with luxury expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete spectrum of marketing and PR activities for the China market, ensuring alignment with global brand standards
- Develop and execute digital marketing and social media strategies that maximize brand exposure while maintaining brand direction
- Manage advertising, promotion, and public relations budgets to create cost-effective, high-impact programs
- Monitor campaigns across China and implement comprehensive communications plans in compliance with global guidelines and business objectives
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with media partners to enhance PR coverage and brand visibility
- Collaborate with corporate and retail teams to align marketing initiatives with commercial requirements
- Serve as a cultural liaison between headquarters and the local market, providing insights into regional trends and articulating the brand's relevance within Greater China
- Lead research initiatives to identify market opportunities, analyze media coverage, and develop value-added communications strategies
- Build and nurture strategic communities focused on arts and culture, developing long-term partnership opportunities
- Establish and maintain functional team leadership within the region, fostering strong team cohesion and shared purpose
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in marketing, communications, or public relations within the luxury industry
- Deep understanding of the Greater China market, consumer behavior, and cultural dynamics
- Strategic expertise in digital marketing and social media management
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience in budget management and cost-optimization across multiple marketing channels
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role. Demonstrated success managing marketing and communications initiatives in the Greater China market or similar high-growth, culturally complex regions. Proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies for luxury or premium brands.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related discipline. Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Communications) is preferred.
