Bottega Veneta seeks a Market Director in Costa Mesa, California — lead retail teams, drive commercial growth and deliver exceptional client experiences. $180k–$190k base.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement market-specific commercial strategies to grow market share among high-net-worth clientele and enhance brand desirability.
  • Own sales targets, profitability, store productivity and KPI performance across the California market; drive results through disciplined P&L management.
  • Design and execute 360° go-to-market initiatives including exclusive assortments, high-end activations and VIC growth to accelerate sales.
  • Partner with Marketing and Private Client teams to plan and deliver high-impact brand events and local activations that embed the brand into elite communities.
  • Collaborate with CRM and merchandising teams to leverage data insights, refine assortment and elevate clienteling programmes.
  • Lead, coach and develop multi-unit Store Leaders and retail teams to ensure consistent delivery of the brand’s client experience and operational excellence.
  • Identify and nurture top talent; build succession pipelines and promote internal mobility across the market.
  • Continuously assess performance and client feedback to implement service and operational improvements that enhance lifetime client value.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in luxury retail with demonstrated multi-unit leadership.
  • Proven record of delivering significant commercial results in a luxury environment, including achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Strong people-leadership credentials with experience developing store leaders and building high-performing teams.
  • Analytical aptitude with the ability to translate CRM and sales data into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Deep understanding of high-touch client strategies, clienteling and expectations of ultra-high-net-worth customers.
