Bottega Veneta in Casandrino, Italy seeks a Leather Goods Assembler to perform artisanal assembly and finishing in a high-quality production environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble leather goods components into finished products following technical specifications and production kits.
- Perform finishing operations (edge finishing, trimming, gluing, pressing) to meet brand quality standards.
- Operate hand tools and sewing machines safely and efficiently to execute stitching and assembly tasks.
- Inspect assembled pieces for defects and dimensional conformity; report non-conformities and apply corrective actions.
- Work to production schedules and deadlines, maintaining consistent output and contributing to on-time delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation and comply with workplace safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in leather goods assembly, artisanal finishing, or related production (preferred 1–3 years).
- Vocational training in leathercraft, saddlery, tailoring, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor control.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to finishing and quality control.
- Ability to read and apply simple technical specifications, templates, and work instructions.
- Reliability, punctuality and the capacity to work within a production team to meet deadlines.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in leather goods assembly or artisanal production is preferred; 1–3 years in a manufacturing or atelier environment is an asset. Experience with hand-finishing and sewing-machine stitching strongly favoured.
Education
Vocational diploma in leathercraft, saddlery, tailoring, or equivalent practical training; or demonstrable on-the-job experience in artisanal production.
