Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily coordination of recruitment activities: prepare and post job openings in compliance with company and legal guidelines, source candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain and update candidate and resume databases; perform general administrative HR tasks such as filing and document management.
- Perform background and reference checks for prospective hires and review findings with the HR Coordinator and HR Managers.
- Support data entry, reporting and auditing within Excel and the HRIS; assist with routine HR data maintenance.
- Partner with the VP HR and HR Coordinator on ad hoc HR projects and special initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
- Available to work on-site in the New York corporate office up to 32 hours per week.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presentation and discretionary handling of confidential information.
- Able to work effectively in a team and to take initiative on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Workday preferred.

Experience
No prior professional HR experience is required; previous internship or administrative experience in HR, recruiting or office environments is advantageous.
Education
Enrolled student in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; must be eligible to receive academic credit for the placement.
