Bottega Veneta seeks a Head of Human Resources in Shanghai to lead comprehensive HR functions, talent strategy, and organizational development for the luxury brand's Asia-Pacific operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead people initiatives to improve workforce productivity, foster social inclusion, and ensure talent development and retention while promoting company culture
- Develop strategic partnerships with internal business units, providing coaching and HR advisory services aligned with organizational design and business needs
- Own HR budget and forecasting processes, preparing and monitoring people costs across retail and corporate operations with cost controls as required
- Manage all employee-related issues within scope and oversee high-quality HR shared services including payroll, administration, and employee relations
- Contribute to business plan execution through creation and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies for talent attraction, development, and engagement
- Drive execution of Kering, regional, and local HR initiatives while collaborating with Regional HR Centers of Excellence to champion local specificities
- Manage organizational transformation and change projects for the market
- Lead local recruitment strategy to attract talent aligned with Bottega Veneta's culture and business priorities while ensuring world-class candidate experience
- Lead annual talent processes including performance reviews, talent management, succession planning, and salary reviews
- Coach management on high and low performer management, skill gap identification, and targeted development planning
- Drive proactive internal mobility and career development frameworks to support succession and retention of top talent
- Ensure compensation and benefits frameworks remain market-competitive for both office and retail populations
- Partner with worldwide and regional compensation and benefits teams to escalate local market intelligence and best practices
- Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and process improvements
- Drive local communication strategy to implement HR initiatives while ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Lead analysis of regional employee engagement surveys and develop actionable improvement plans
- Oversee inclusion and diversity, celebration, and recognition initiatives to reinforce an environment that values team contribution
Qualifications
- Extensive experience as HR leader or business partner in multinational luxury or premium retail environments
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end HR operations including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations
- Proven success managing HR budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis at scale
- Strong experience managing organizational development and change management initiatives
- Experience managing HR teams and collaborating across global organizational matrices
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to partner effectively with senior business leadership
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive human resources experience in senior roles, with at least 5 years leading comprehensive HR functions for regional or global organizations, preferably within the luxury, fashion, or premium retail sectors. Strong background in managing teams, complex HR operations, and strategic business partnerships across multiple locations.
Education
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced qualification in HR (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) preferred.
