Bottega Veneta Collection Merchandising Intern in Milan – six-month curricular internship supporting product strategy and showroom preparation for a globally renowned luxury leather goods house.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in collection plan elaboration and exploration of new product functions and opportunities
- Conduct competitor benchmark analysis including product typology, mix assessment, and price mapping
- Support and collaborate with the Product Development Team to monitor collection progress
- Execute weekly and monthly sales analysis and ad hoc reporting
- Create documents to plan seasonal marketing activities and product launch events
- Manage collection samples and inventory
- Support buying deck elaboration during selling campaign preparation
- Manage sample assortment and catalog requests in coordination with product development teams
- Elaborate product descriptions and hierarchy checks in collaboration with relevant departments
- Assist in development of collection training materials explaining collection inspirations and strategy
- Prepare end-of-campaign sell-in analysis
- Participate in daily merchandising department activities and ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Successful completion of studies in Business Management, Fashion & Luxury Brand Management, or equivalent
- Eligibility for a six-month curricular internship
- Fluency in English; Italian proficiency is advantageous
- Prior experience in similar merchandising roles or in-store positions (including internships) is preferred
- Aesthetic sensibility combined with strong product knowledge and passion for fashion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office suite
- Demonstrated confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
Skills
Experience
Six months of experience in similar merchandising or retail roles is preferred, though entry-level candidates from relevant academic programs are welcome.
Education
Successful completion of studies in Business Management, Fashion & Luxury Brand Management, or equivalent academic qualification.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
