Blancpain seeks an experienced Retail Manager for its boutique at Galeries Lafayette in Paris to lead sales operations, team management, and store excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pilot and develop commercial activity to achieve sales targets and performance objectives
- Oversee cash management, including receipts in multiple currencies, credit card transactions, and banking procedures
- Authorize commercial discounts in accordance with brand hierarchy directives
- Manage after-sales services including client follow-up, correspondence review, and request processing
- Supervise off-site sales and inventory movements of timepieces
- Handle client disputes and provide regular reporting to senior management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and brand alignment
- Ensure compliance with internal regulations and safety protocols throughout the boutique
- Organize and deliver ongoing staff training in collaboration with the brand management team
- Schedule team working hours, breaks, leave, and manage absences
- Monitor presentation standards, professional conduct, and uniform compliance
- Conduct and formalize annual performance evaluations
- Track individual and collective performance metrics and support staff skill development
- Manage boutique security protocols, surveillance systems, and external security provider relationships
- Supervise relations with external service providers including security and maintenance contractors
- Ensure accountability and traceability of all timepieces from display cases to secure storage
- Conduct daily inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records
- Monitor showcase displays and security devices for optimal protection
- Maintain boutique presentation standards including cleanliness, maintenance, and merchandising excellence
- Ensure compliance with Blancpain brand standards and visual identity guidelines
- Manage cash floats and oversee daily banking deposits
- Handle administrative and accounting functions for the point of sale
- Supervise tax-free processing, merchandise orders, goods receipt, consignment management, and logbook maintenance
- Delegate tasks to the deputy manager while maintaining overall operational control
- Assume interim responsibilities of the deputy manager during absences
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in luxury goods retail
- Proven successful experience in team management and staff development
- Significant experience in luxury watchmaking, high jewelry, or comparable premium sectors
- Demonstrated expertise in department store environments, preferably with Galeries Lafayette or Printemps
- Strong track record in revenue development and achieving ambitious sales targets
