Birks seeks a Store Administrator for a store in the Greater Toronto Area to support back-office operations, sales and client service, including transactions, merchandise transfers and appraisals. The role requires at least two years of retail sales experience and two years in an administrative role; competitive earnings, training programs and employee discounts are offered.
Role & Responsibilities
- Foster a client-first environment.
- Assist clients with purchases, repairs, and service requests.
- Support Sales Professionals and Store Management with concerns and special requests.
- Process sales transactions accurately.
- Administer merchandise transfer requests, including shipping and receiving and filing incoming and outgoing packing slips in the corresponding files.
- Ensure purchased merchandise is properly cleaned, has its price tag removed, is packaged in its corresponding box, and is gift-wrapped when requested.
- Ensure appraisals for new in-store purchases are documented and mailed promptly.
Qualifications
- At least two years of retail sales experience; luxury retail and/or jewelry experience is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in an administrative role.
- Goal-oriented and sales-driven, with a strong focus on caring for clients and exceeding their expectations.
- Strong team values.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational and learning skills.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office.
