Berluti seeks a Regional Manager, Northwest China in Shanghai — lead multi‑store operations, drive sales and client engagement; bilingual Mandarin/English required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee commercial performance and daily operations of Berluti boutiques across Northwest China, ensuring strict adherence to brand standards of service and presentation.
  • Develop and implement area and city action plans to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets; analyze sales figures and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collect market intelligence, monitor competitor activity, maintain landlord relationships and support lease and commercial negotiations.
  • Drive client engagement and CRM initiatives, activate affinity partnerships, participate in store and brand events and ensure excellent mystery shopper results.
  • Lead, mentor and develop store managers through structured coaching, training, performance evaluation and retention strategies.
  • Oversee store operations including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, visual merchandising and enforcement of company policies.
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure store presentation faithfully expresses the brand’s DNA and current collections.
  • Prepare and present regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on store performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at customer and landlord events, preserving Berluti’s image of discretion, craftsmanship and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Passionate commitment to the Berluti brand and its artisanal heritage.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in luxury fashion retail with responsibility for multiple stores and direct reports at manager level.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, manage P&L‑related KPIs and deliver operational excellence across multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of the local Chinese luxury market, client behaviour and product savoir‑faire.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and talent development capabilities, with experience in corrective/disciplinary processes.
  • Developed analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Commercial negotiation experience, including landlord and lease discussions.
  • Creative, willing to pilot new initiatives and comfortable with frequent domestic travel.
  • Fluent in business English and Mandarin.

Experience
