Berluti seeks a Hospitality Manager in Tokyo to lead the Namiki flagship lounge and curate exclusive VIP experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the Maison ambassador: embody Berluti’s values and articulate its heritage, savoir‑faire and aesthetic to discerning guests.
- Design and deliver personalised, culturally informed guest journeys—from arrival to departure—anticipating preferences and orchestrating seamless interactions.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Namiki flagship lounge, ensuring immaculate presentation, inventory control and high service standards.
- Coordinate bespoke sessions (bootmaker, tailor) and private events in close collaboration with in‑store retail teams and headquarters.
- Curate experiential elements that define the lounge’s spirit (e.g., music/vinyl programme), enhancing conversation and guest engagement.
- Cultivate and activate high‑value relationships: facilitate introductions, source local cultural insights and animate a refined ‘art of conversation’.
- Oversee relationships with external partners and vendors (catering, event planners), ensuring consistent delivery of premium services.
- Collect and analyse guest feedback to continuously refine offerings and elevate the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of management experience in hospitality (luxury hotels, fine dining, private clubs) or comparable client‑facing environments.
- Fluency in Japanese and English; exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal aptitude for high‑level conversation.
- Proven track record in delivering personalised service for VIP/very important clients and managing privileged relationships with discretion.
- Deep cultural literacy and active knowledge of Tokyo’s cultural and arts scene; ability to engage sophisticated, international audiences.
- Outstanding organisational skills with experience in event coordination, vendor management and operational oversight.
- Impeccable professionalism, high emotional intelligence and absolute respect for guest confidentiality.

Experience
At least 10 years in hospitality management within luxury environments (five or more years in supervisory/managerial roles preferred), with demonstrable experience delivering bespoke VIP services and coordinating high‑profile private events.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Communications or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
