Berluti Ferrara seeks Footwear Prototype Assembly Technician with 5+ years experience. Full-time permanent position in luxury footwear manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute pre-assembly and assembly operations for prototypes with autonomy and technical competence within the Prototype Laboratory
- Collaborate with the pattern-making team, providing technical observations and practical guidance to enhance sample realization
- Support the industrialization process by identifying potential technical or production challenges and facilitating product refinement
- Manage assembly of Make to Order production and samples whilst maintaining elevated quality standards, minimizing defects, and ensuring process fluidity
- Monitor quality and consistency of samples throughout development, guiding their transition to production
- Interface with the Cutting and Hemming departments to ensure coherence and feasibility in preparation and assembly phases
- Partner with the production team during first-series launch, supporting accurate transfer of technical and operational information
Qualifications
- Consolidated experience in footwear pre-assembly and assembly operations, preferably in prototype or sample development contexts
- Excellent knowledge of assembly techniques and footwear construction principles
- Technical product analysis capabilities to support pattern-making and industrialization
- Problem-solving orientation and ability to prevent complications during product development
- Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for cross-functional collaboration
- Effective communication with design studio, pattern-making, cutting, hemming, industrialization, and production teams
- Strong commitment to quality, process efficiency, and final results
