Berluti in Ferrara seeks a Footwear Artisan — full-time, on-site role in the Orlatura department with on‑the‑job training and company canteen.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute machine stitching on arm sewing machines, flatbed machines and edge‑stitching (bordatrice) equipment according to production specifications.
  • Prepare and organise the workbench and components for each operation to ensure efficient flow.
  • Perform skiving, leather splitting and stamping operations with precision to meet dimensional and aesthetic tolerances.
  • Maintain machines and tools in clean, serviceable condition and report faults to the technical team.
  • Adhere to Berluti quality standards and production procedures, performing visual and tactile quality checks at each stage.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Orlatura department and participate in on-the-job training and continuous skills development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in footwear or leather goods production (see required experience).
  • Vocational or technical studies related to leather goods, footwear or textiles preferred.
  • Demonstrable manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail in hand and machine operations.
  • Practical knowledge of sewing techniques and familiarity with industrial sewing equipment.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques, adapt to production processes and work flexibly within team shifts.

Experience

Workplace

The successful candidate will be located in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, with easy access to Bologna.
