Bergdorf Goodman is hiring a Selling Assistant to support a Personal Shopper with sales appointments, transaction processing, client data, follow-up and fitting-room operations. The role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and pays $22.00–$24.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on location, experience and qualifications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Personal Shopper in preparing for and conducting selling appointments.
- Process transactions accurately at the point of sale (POS).
- Complete post-appointment follow-up, including tracking orders, managing alterations and writing thank-you notes.
- Help schedule appointments and manage the Personal Shopper’s calendar.
- Enter and maintain accurate client information in Connect and at POS.
- Assist with digital selling activities and maintain a social media presence as directed.
- Help organize gifting initiatives and experiences for top clients in partnership with the PCR team.
- Return unsold merchandise to stock efficiently after appointments.
- Maintain fitting-room cleanliness, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance services as needed.
- Perform additional projects, tasks and activities as required to support the Personal Shopper and team.
Qualifications
- Passion for delivering a luxury client experience and strong fashion knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
