Bergdorf Goodman seeks a Sales Assistant in New York to support luxury personal styling services and retail operations at its iconic Fifth Avenue location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist Personal Stylists in preparing and executing high-touch selling appointments
- Process transactions at point-of-sale terminals and manage merchandise processing for premium resale services
- Execute comprehensive post-appointment follow-up including order tracking, alteration coordination, and personalized thank-you correspondence
- Maintain and organize appointment scheduling whilst ensuring precise clientele information management in the CRM system
- Support digital selling channels and social media content initiatives to expand client engagement
- Coordinate gifting initiatives and curated experiences for top-tier clientele
- Ensure accurate stock management and timely return of unsold merchandise
- Maintain elevated standards of cleanliness and organization within fitting rooms and styling areas
- Execute additional projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated styling, fashion, or luxury fashion retail experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Ability to manage flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage
- Comfort working in remote and in-store hybrid environments
- Demonstrated attention to detail and precision in data entry and clientele management
Skills
Experience
Styling, fashion, and/or fashion retail experience is required; preference will be given to candidates demonstrating prior experience in personal styling support or luxury retail environments.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalency required.
