Bergdorf Goodman is recruiting retail operations associates for store roles spanning client engagement, merchandise support, order fulfillment, inventory control, stockroom organization, visual merchandising, and in-store events. The position requires previous luxury retail experience, physical stamina, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation varies by location, experience, and qualifications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment by demonstrating the values of Excellence, Imagination, and Graciousness.
- Exceed customer expectations and follow up on customer requests and commitments.
- Build merchandise knowledge and educate oneself and others about products.
- Foster a welcoming environment through teamwork.
- Complete daily store operations and support leads and managers with merchandise handling, transfers, and inbound and outbound freight processing.
- Fulfill, pack, and ship online and in-store customer orders.
- Place merchandise to ensure standards are followed.
- Process merchandise price changes and reticketing; sign and move products once marked.
- Complete reticketing, damage processing, out-of-stock marking, and related inventory control processes.
- Back-stock merchandise and organize and maintain the stockroom.
- Merchandise products and set up sale events and signage under the guidance of managers and the Visual team, ensuring standards are followed.
- Support the setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
