The Operations Associate supports Bergdorf Goodman’s women’s ready-to-wear store with stockroom organization, merchandise processing, order fulfillment, inventory control, sales-event setup and store operations. The role requires at least 1 year of retail experience, basic Google and MS Office proficiency, and schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays; starting pay varies by location, experience and other job-related factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with stocking, receiving, order fulfillment and merchandise handling, including maintaining merchandise organization.
- Complete daily store operations and support leads and managers with merchandise handling, transfers, inbound and outbound freight processing, and fulfillment, packing and shipping of online and in-store customer orders.
- Place merchandise to ensure merchandise standards are followed.
- Process price changes and reticketing; sign and move product once marked.
- Handle reticketing, damages, stock-outs and related inventory control processes.
- Manage back stock and maintain stockroom organization.
- Under the guidance of managers and Visual, merchandise products and set sale events and signage in accordance with standards.
- Support setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
- Perform daily operational tasks that support store sales and profitability and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Flexibility in managing competing tasks and a collaborative “win together” mentality.
- Basic proficiency with Google and the MS Office Product Suite.
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
