Bergdorf Goodman seeks a Coordinator for Handbags & Accessories in New York to manage floor operations, scheduling, and client support in luxury retail.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate with the SEM and ASEM to make assessments and adjustments as needed to support total business performance
  • Create and maintain efficient, flexible scheduling that adapts to evolving business needs
  • Coordinate with staff to address client needs, product management (including pre-orders and reserves), and technology requirements while ensuring floor supplies are adequately stocked
  • Act as the liaison for Santal Repair and Service requests and escalate client issues; support shipping error resolution, return processing, and customer notifications
  • Monitor email and phone communications throughout the day to maintain current communication and operational directives
  • Delegate responsibilities to associates including floor maintenance, client issue support, and routing of customer inquiries to available sellers
  • Communicate in a timely manner any floor or associate needs, escalating critical client issues immediately to prevent delays or further discrepancies
  • Maintain visible leadership presence on the selling floor, building relationships with clients and demonstrating knowledge of the clientele
  • Establish and maintain high standards for floor cleanliness, associate-client interactions, store culture, and overall shopping experience quality

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in luxury retail, operations, or leadership support role
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills with ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs
