Bergdorf Goodman — Selling Assistant (Chanel) in New York. Hourly role supporting personal stylists with appointments, POS, clienteling and digital selling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support Personal Stylists in preparing and executing selling appointments, fittings and presentations.
- Process sales transactions at the point of sale (POS) and handle cash/transactional procedures accurately.
- Complete post-appointment follow-up including order tracking, alterations coordination and thank-you communications.
- Assist in scheduling and organizing client appointments and maintaining a professional appointment flow.
- Enter, update and maintain precise client profiles and contact information in clienteling systems.
- Support digital selling efforts and the brand's social media presence to engage clients and drive sales.
- Plan and assist with gifting initiatives and bespoke experiences for top clients.
- Return unsold merchandise to stock and ensure merchandise flow between fitting rooms and sales floor.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of fitting rooms, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance when required.
- Perform additional projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous styling, fashion or fashion-retail experience is required.
- Proficiency with Google Suite applications: Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Spreadsheets.
- Experience using POS systems and handling sales transactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Strong clienteling, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational ability.

Experience
Demonstrable experience in styling or fashion retail, with hands-on exposure to client appointments, POS transactions and post-sale client follow-up. Prior work supporting personal stylists or luxury sales teams is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22 to USD 24 per hour.
