Role & Responsibilities
- Support the divisional buyer in achieving sales and gross margin targets
- Manage day-to-day operations of the buying office
- Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships and partnerships
- Oversee vendor support and facilitate communication between vendors and retail locations
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of selling performance, category trends, and vendor metrics
- Develop and execute promotional activities to drive seasonal business growth
- Attend market appointments with strategic assortment plans and product expertise informed by customer-centric analysis
- Negotiate favorable buying terms and end-of-season arrangements with vendor partners

- Collaborate with Planning teams to develop seasonal financial plans and merchandise budgets

- Mentor and develop Merchandise Assistants reporting to the division
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (certification preferred)
