Benefit Cosmetics seeks a VMD Coordinator in Seoul to design counters, manage merchandising strategies, and optimize retail displays across Korean department stores and beauty retailers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design new and renewal counters incorporating soft visual merchandising to align with brand DNA and optimize sales environment
- Develop and manage monthly merchandising guidelines for each counter based on product launches and promotional calendars, coordinating execution across retail partners
- Create display concepts and design proposals for in-store product displays, fixtures, and merchandising materials across department stores and specialty retail channels
- Coordinate local production of display fixtures and merchandising materials, ensuring adherence to quality specifications and brand standards
- Create and optimize planograms for makeup bars and promotional fixtures
- Manage tester product quantities and allocate inventory according to launch and merchandising plans
- Monitor and update power visual layouts and promotional schedules for each counter location
- Manage store maintenance and repair requests, liaising with retail partners and vendors to ensure timely resolution and quality standards
- Analyze counter traffic flow and staff movement patterns to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, interior design, or related field
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software including AutoCAD, Adobe Illustration, and Photoshop
- Ability to understand and interpret English-language documents and brand guidelines
- Foundational knowledge of marketing principles and strategy
- Demonstrated understanding of brand identity and visual storytelling
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance standards

Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or related creative disciplines; experience in the beauty or cosmetics industry is preferred.
Education
