Benefit Cosmetics in Sydney seeks a Social & Content Manager to lead TikTok, Instagram & YouTube content for Australia & New Zealand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the social content strategy across organic and paid channels for Australia & New Zealand, aligning with commercial and brand objectives.
- Lead end-to-end content production — ideation, scripting, filming, editing and publishing platform-native video for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- Plan and manage the monthly content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of trend-relevant, high-performing content.
- Own campaign launches and always‑on content programs that drive awareness, engagement and conversion.
- Capture and produce content at events, influencer activations and in-store experiences; act as an on-camera brand representative when required.
- Monitor, analyse and report on content performance; iterate using insights, testing and optimisation methodologies.
- Engage actively with community conversations — responding to comments and DMs in an authentic, timely manner.
- Experiment with new formats, tools and platforms to keep Benefit at the forefront of social and beauty trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' proven experience in social media and content creation, ideally within beauty or FMCG.
- Demonstrable track record producing video-first content for TikTok and Instagram, from concept to publish.
- Experience managing social channels end-to-end, including performance tracking and reporting.
- Confident on-camera presence and ability to create diverse beauty looks for filmed content.
- Commercial mindset with ability to translate analytics into creative and strategic decisions.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working with marketing, retail and influencer teams.
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years in social media/content roles with demonstrated ownership of social strategy and production. Proven ability to create high-engagement, video-led content and to manage channels end-to-end; prior experience in the beauty industry strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
