Benefit Cosmetics is hiring a Demand Planner in San Francisco. Full‑time role responsible for forecasting, supply coordination and demand systems.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and continuously refine demand forecasts for all product categories (core assortment, new launches, events and collateral) across relevant channels.
  • Analyze sell-in/sell-out, historical sales, trend and seasonality data to build statistically and commercially defensible forecasts.
  • Manage phase-in/phase-out planning aligned to global and local marketing calendars to minimise obsolescence and service risk.
  • Lead monthly forecast review meetings with local markets to capture market inputs (promotions, merchandising, PR, events) and ensure forecasts reflect local specificities.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, detect bias, and recommend corrective, data-driven actions to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with Global Supply on major forecast changes and sell-in vs. forecast discrepancies to protect service levels and inventory positions.
  • Maintain demand planning systems and forecasting tools, produce standard dashboards and deliver ad-hoc analyses to support commercial decisions.
  • Contribute to process and system improvement projects to increase forecast reliability and planning efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply planning or a closely related analytical role.
  • Demonstrable understanding of forecasting principles including trend/seasonality analysis and forecast accuracy measurement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data structuring, modelling and reporting.
  • Experience with demand planning tools and ERP environments; familiarity with Anaplan, Microsoft AX and/or SAP is a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience running forecast review meetings with commercial or market stakeholders.
