Role & Responsibilities
- Create an engaging customer service environment that reflects Benefit's brand values and commitment to quality experiences
- Execute Benefit's DNA and Beauty ABC/Service ABC selling methodologies in adherence with the Global Service Handbook
- Teach, coach, and develop team members to deliver consistently outstanding customer service and beauty consultations
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets while maintaining team individual sales goals and sales-per-hour metrics
- Recruit, interview, hire, orient, and retain quality boutique staff; develop Assistant Boutique Proprietor through delegation and mentorship
- Conduct fair and timely performance reviews; document and address performance deficiencies and policy violations in partnership with regional leadership and HR
- Maintain accurate records in POS and retail systems; monitor inventory levels, receiving, and merchandise transfers
- Manage boutique finances including cash control, safe management, petty cash, payroll accuracy, and monthly budgets
- Respond to customer feedback (Mirror Mirror, Yelp reviews) and complaints within 24 hours; escalate issues to Regional Boutique Proprietor as needed
- Ensure all clients complete and sign E-waiver service release forms for regulatory compliance and customer protection
- Safeguard customer personal information and maintain compliance with state board aesthetician/cosmetology regulations
- Protect boutique assets through effective cash control, inventory management, and loss prevention protocols
- Promote cross-selling between services and products; cultivate a positive, gossip-free workplace culture
- Communicate policy updates, procedure changes, and important operational issues clearly and timely to the boutique team
- Maintain boutique safety and security standards; coordinate with HR regarding workers' compensation, leaves of absence, and other employee matters
Qualifications
- Active state-issued Aesthetician or Cosmetology license (required)
- Proven strong sales and service track record in beauty or retail environment
- Minimum 2 years management or supervisory experience
- 3–4 years retail experience in beauty, cosmetics, or related field
- Proficiency with POS systems, retail management software, email, inventory systems, and general computer applications
- Strong numerical and financial analysis skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to coach others
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays
- Must pass E-Verify employment verification check
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–4 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity. Proven track record of strong sales execution and customer service excellence in a beauty, cosmetics, or luxury retail environment.
Education
Active Aesthetician or Cosmetology license required, as issued by the State of California or equivalent state regulatory body.
