Benefit Cosmetics is hiring a Boutique Proprietor in Brooklyn, NY. Lead retail operations and drive sales for this prestige beauty brand under LVMH.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain an environment emphasizing passionate customer service and exceptional client experience
  • Execute the Beauty ABC selling formula and Service ABC framework as detailed in the Global Service Handbook
  • Teach, coach, and develop boutique employees to consistently deliver outstanding customer service
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in the Retail/POS system and ensure compliance with all company and boutique policies
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews (Mirror Mirror, Yelp) and customer inquiries within 24 hours
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and supervise boutique staff, including the Assistant Boutique Proprietor
  • Develop strategies to grow boutique business and ensure the team achieves daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and targets
  • Maintain excellent cash management including safe management, petty cash oversight, and deposit compliance
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate concerns to the Regional Boutique Proprietor
  • Ensure boutique compliance with state board regulations in partnership with aesthetic staff
  • Achieve monthly sales plans while managing expenses within budgeted guidelines (payroll, supplies, counter operations)
  • Maintain boutique appearance, cleanliness, safety, and security of employees and assets
  • Manage timekeeping and payroll accuracy and timeliness
  • Document performance issues and policy violations consistently; partner with Regional Boutique Proprietor and HR to address concerns

Qualifications

  • Valid state-issued aesthetician, cosmetologist, or waxing license
  • Minimum 3–4 years of retail experience
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience
  • Proven strong sales and service track record
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate email, payroll systems, inventory systems, POS, Mirror Mirror, and other boutique technology
  • Proficient in analyzing numbers and managing financial operations
  • Ability to successfully pass an E-Verify background check
