The Warehouse Intern at Monasterio, a Belmond Hotel, Cusco supports hotel-wide material supplies by receiving, classifying, coding, dispatching and inventorying goods, while maintaining accurate records and warehouse controls. The intern also supports purchasing optimization and product movement records.
Role & Responsibilities
- Control, record and file warehouse documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
- Code incoming goods and enter them into the warehouse control and management system.
- Classify, organize and locate materials in the warehouse to ensure quick retrieval and proper stock rotation.
- Prepare dispatch notes and delivery orders, and prepare and dispatch requested goods.
- Conduct partial and periodic inventories, reconcile physical stock against system records, and report discrepancies.
- Safeguard goods and ensure their proper storage, preservation and security.
- Comply with established standards, procedures and internal controls for the department.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse and work areas to ensure suitable operating conditions.
- Respond to material, grocery and beverage requirements, supporting the hotel’s supply of materials across its departments.
- Contribute to purchasing optimization and accurate recording of product movements.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in the role or similar functions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Organizational ability to keep the warehouse orderly and facilitate the location of materials.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team.
- Proactivity in identifying and communicating material requirements.
- Commitment to achieving the objectives of the warehouse department.
