The Waiter at Las Casitas, a Belmond Hotel, Colca Canyon provides warm, personalized restaurant service to five-star hotel and five-fork restaurant standards, supporting smooth food and beverage operations. The role includes guest reception, order taking, attentive table service, service-area upkeep and compliance with LQA, SQF, HACCP and workplace safety standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and clients on arrival at the restaurant, providing warm, professional service.
- Present menu options knowledgeably and take orders clearly and promptly.
- Check that dishes are hot, clean and consistently presented before serving.
- Monitor table service continuously, removing dirty or unnecessary utensils and replenishing glasses, cups, bread and service items as needed.
- Keep the supplies required to respond quickly and efficiently to client requests within reach.
- Keep tables, service stations and trays orderly to support operations and the collection of tableware.
- Coordinate service stations and replenishment with the team to avoid overlap and ensure smooth service.
- Keep guest areas clean and in good condition, including carpets, rugs and restrooms, removing or correcting anything that affects service.
- Organize service areas appropriately, keeping clean and soiled items separate.
- Exceed client expectations for quality, efficiency and timeliness while complying with LQA, SQF, HACCP, and occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Technical qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
- Intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of gastronomy, including ingredients and methods of preparation; knowledge of HACCP and/or SQF is desirable.
- Attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.

Education
Technical qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
