The Train Operations Intern for Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond train, supports guest experience, onboard dining and beverage service, entertainment, operational improvements, and safety procedures. The internship is for Malaysian students and offers hands-on exposure to luxury rail travel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in curating and delivering personalised guest services that exceed expectations.
- Support coordination of onboard services, including fine dining, beverage service and entertainment.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Learn and follow train safety rules and operational procedures, contributing to a safe environment for guests and crew.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics or a related field.
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Genuine interest in luxury travel and the railway industry.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Warm, genuine and authentic approach, with a passion for travel and discovery.
