The Steward supports Food & Beverage operations at Belmond’s Hotel das Cataratas in Foz do Iguaçu, maintaining kitchen and service-area hygiene, handling dishwashing and waste, and assisting with event setups. The role requires at least three months of relevant experience and availability for shifts from 16:00 to 00:00.
Role & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchens and other Food & Beverage operational areas.
- Wash and organize dishes, cutlery, crystal, porcelain, serving dishes, pots, utensils and other materials.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, and light and heavy equipment.
- Keep the sorting center and produce receiving crates clean and organized.
- Maintain and use equipment and work materials appropriately.
- Collect, sort and dispose of organic and recyclable waste correctly.
- Monitor waste collection by the responsible company.
- Control the use and consumption of cleaning products.
- Assist with setting up boards, tables, chairs and structures for events.
- Use personal protective equipment correctly and comply with health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to the organization, cleanliness and efficient operation of the entire Food & Beverage department.
Qualifications
- Completed primary education.
- At least 3 months of experience in the role or in cleaning and sanitizing activities.
- Knowledge of good hygiene practices and cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with chemical products and personal protective equipment.
- Availability to work shifts, from 16:00 to 00:00.
