Belmond seeks a Senior Journey Concierge to curate seamless, bespoke journeys across Southern Africa, manage quotations, reservations and travel arrangements, and support enquiry conversion. The role guides colleagues, partners closely with internal teams and suppliers, and reports to the Reservations Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
- Curate tailored journeys across Southern Africa that are thoughtful, seamless and personal to each guest.
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of destinations, properties, experiences and partners.
- Work with internal teams and trusted partners to deliver the promised guest experience.
- Collaborate with preferred partners to ensure they reflect Belmond's expected standards and experience.
- Identify opportunities to enhance journeys while supporting commercial objectives.
- Communicate guest preferences, requirements and operational information accurately and on time.
- Take ownership of issues and work collaboratively towards effective resolutions.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support, helping colleagues prioritise and maintain consistently high standards.
- Manage quotations, reservations and travel arrangements accurately and efficiently.
- Support enquiry conversion through timely follow-up and strong relationship management.
- Maintain an understanding of rates, availability and commercial considerations to support sound decision-making.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in luxury travel, destination management, hospitality, safari operations or a related guest-focused environment.
- Proven experience designing and managing complex, tailor-made itineraries for discerning travellers.
- Strong knowledge of Southern Africa's destinations, lodges, experiences, logistics and travel networks.
- A genuine passion for travel and creating meaningful experiences.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative and reservation management capabilities.
