The Security Officer at Rio Sagrado, a Belmond Hotel, Sacred Valley, protects guests, colleagues and hotel facilities, responds to emergencies, monitors access and security procedures, and supports incident reporting and safety training. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, basic-to-intermediate English and basic Microsoft Office skills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor the hotel’s internal and external areas during assigned shifts to protect guests, colleagues and resources.
- Control the entry and exit of employees, interns, temporary workers, visitors, contractors and suppliers, verifying the relevant documentation.
- Record the entry and exit of objects, merchandise and invoices in coordination with relevant departments and in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor compliance with security rules and procedures by colleagues, guests and external personnel.
- Inform, guide and assist guests and personnel during emergencies, responding promptly and effectively to risks or hazards.
- Support the security of important guests when required.
- Prepare reports on incidents, accidents and other significant hotel security events.
- Verify compliance with alcohol and drug testing and other preventive measures, immediately reporting any case to the Head of Security and Human Resources.
- Support colleague training on security and emergency procedures.
- Maintain ethical and transparent conduct and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety rules, standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Police or naval professional, or trained as a Security Agent.
- Basic-to-intermediate English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of security, first aid, personal defense, firefighting, evacuation routes and communication equipment.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Security Agent, Firefighter or Rescuer.
- Attention to detail, planning and organizational ability.
