The Room Service Attendant at Monasterio, a Belmond Hotel, Cusco provides personalised, timely in-room dining service, managing orders, deliveries, guest requests and collection while maintaining service standards and an orderly work area. The role includes coordinating room amenities and complimentary items, monitoring stock and preparing service equipment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and manage room service orders, presenting available menu items and providing courteous, efficient service.
- Coordinate and deliver orders, complimentary items, amenities, strawberries and canapés to guest rooms according to guest requests and the needs of relevant departments.
- Ensure orders are delivered on time, in optimal condition and in line with the hotel’s quality standards.
- Inform guests promptly of order delays and communicate clearly and appropriately.
- Collect used room service items from guest rooms and corridors, keeping the area orderly and clean.
- Check area stock and inform the supervisor of shortages or replenishment needs.
- Prepare and arrange service equipment, including polishing champagne buckets, folding napkins and presenting fruit for complimentary amenities.
- Keep the work station clean and orderly and use the department’s material and human resources appropriately.
- Stay informed about incoming guests and their guest profiles to personalise service.
- Record daily departmental incidents and respond to guest and internal client requests within the agreed timeframe.

- Technical qualification in Hospitality and Tourism, Hotel Management or a related field.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Six months of experience in similar areas.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
