The Room Attendant at Monasterio, a Belmond Hotel, Cusco, cleans and maintains guest rooms to high standards of quality and hygiene, helping ensure guest comfort and a memorable stay. The role also involves reporting room issues, guest requests, minibar consumption and lost property, while following the hotel's service standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy guest rooms and common areas assigned by the Area Supervisor.
- Report bags of laundry to the Supervisor for collection by the laundry department.
- Identify and report room malfunctions to the maintenance department.
- Report room-service items for collection to the Room Service department.
- Report safes that remain locked after a guest checks out.
- Prepare a report of additional items, such as towels and blankets, requested by guests for their rooms.
- Prepare a Lost and Found report when a guest leaves belongings in a room.
- Check the minibar at guest checkout for last-minute consumption.
- Contact Security when valuables are found in a room, and complete the room while Security is present.
- Ensure strict compliance with the hotel's service standards.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning or as a room attendant, preferably in quality hotels or accommodation.
- Studies in Tourism, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
- Basic English proficiency to understand and respond to guests' essential needs.
- Technical knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
- Communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proactivity and willingness to take initiative in assigned tasks.
