As Revenue Manager at PeruRail, the role drives revenue through pricing, yield and product mix, manages inventory and demand forecasting, and translates market analysis into pricing and distribution decisions. The position collaborates across commercial and operational teams, oversees reporting and revenue systems, develops team capabilities and supports PeruRail projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive revenue performance through pricing, yield management and product mix by route and schedule.
- Manage daily inventory and availability controls, including opening and closing, protection levels and booking limits, to optimize occupancy and revenue.
- Prepare and maintain demand forecasts by departure and season to support the annual budget, forecast reviews and scenario planning.
- Monitor booking pickup, acceptance, cancellation patterns and channel mix; identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis, including alternatives offering equivalent travel experiences, and translate insights into pricing and distribution decisions across B2B and B2C.
- Collaborate with Reservations, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to align commercial strategy with capacity, service delivery and guest experience.
- Prepare clear performance reports and recommendations for weekly or monthly revenue meetings.
- Maintain high data quality and timely system updates; support improvements to revenue management tools, dashboards and processes.
- Train and develop team capabilities, where applicable, and contribute to a data-driven decision-making culture.
- Ensure accurate use and optimal performance of all revenue management systems and tools by users; identify opportunities to improve current systems while considering alternative market solutions.
- Support PeruRail projects as requested.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- More than six years of experience in revenue management, pricing, yield management or commercial analysis; experience in transportation (rail or air) or hospitality is valued.
- Experience with booking/ticketing, inventory and revenue systems (CRS/RMS or equivalents), and strong data governance practices.
- Ability to work with BI tools and data sources.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
- SQL knowledge is valued.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including forecasting, demand modelling, elasticity, scenario planning and KPI performance monitoring.

Experience
More than six years of experience in revenue management, pricing, yield management or commercial analysis; transportation (rail or air) or hospitality experience is valued.
Education
University degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
